Numerical simulation study on noise pollution of the solenoid valve in pressure water-air system of pumped storage power station

Abstract To explore the noise problem of solenoid valve in pressurized water-air system a pumped storage power station when operating under discharge condition, full-channel unsteady numerical simulation was carried out on medium-pressure gas tank and its facilities. Firstly, large eddy (LES) method used to calculate sound source, then finite element (FEM) solve internal field. The flow field distribution pressure are analyzed detail. Then near-field analysis is trace source valve. Finally, according intensity distribution, location mechanism clarified, which provides basis for selection technical route subsequent optimization design exhaust water system.
